About
The Battery Ledger is an independent publication about the global battery economy: the companies, the people, the chemistries, and the rules that shape them. It exists to make a fast-moving and complex industry a little clearer, and to give the people working within it a thoughtful place to be heard.
On anonymity
You will notice there is no name on this masthead. That is a deliberate choice, and a temporary one.
For now, the publication is written and edited under a single byline: The Editor. There are good reasons for that, ones tied to timing more than secrecy, and the intention is always to step forward and be named when the moment is right.
Anonymity naturally invites a little curiosity, and perhaps some caution too. Both are fair. So let me say plainly where this comes from: The Battery Ledger was started by someone who came to love this industry and wanted to give something back to it. Someone who set out to build something careful, honest, and genuinely useful, and to do right by the people in it.
That principle sits underneath everything here.
How things are done
Everything published is drawn from the public record and verified at source. Profiles are researched with care and, wherever possible, shaped in conversation with their subjects. Nothing about a person goes live without giving them the chance to see it first, and to change it or decline. When something is wrong, it is put right, openly and quickly.
People are treated generously here. The aim is always to be accurate, fair, and worth your time, and to leave everyone who appears glad that they did.
In time
The anonymity has never been the point. The work is. When the moment comes that stepping forward will not get in the way of that work, The Editor fully intends to introduce themselves properly.
Until then, the hope is simply that the work speaks for itself.
