Profile

Trojan Battery Company was founded in 1925 by George Godber and Carl Speer, and is one of the best-known names in deep-cycle batteries. It manufactures flooded lead-acid, AGM and lithium-ion batteries, plus related accessories.

Its deep-cycle products are used in golf carts, low-speed and utility electric vehicles, aerial work platforms, industrial material handling, floor-cleaning and sanitation machines, solar and renewable storage, and marine, RV and transportation applications. Recent activity includes lithium-ion batteries in standard golf-cart form factors and the Trojan AES AGM range.

Trojan is now part of C&D Technologies, which acquired the company to broaden its energy-storage portfolio into deep-cycle and motive applications.
