The American Battery Leadership Coalition (ABLC) is a US industry group, formed in 2026, seeking to establish sodium-ion batteries as an essential technology for US energy storage, manufacturing competitiveness and national security.
Its mission is to push for federal policies supporting the deployment of sodium-ion technology as a scalable, non-lithium alternative to meet rising energy-storage demand, including from data centres. Its membership brings together sodium-ion cell developers, materials suppliers, manufacturers and energy-storage system providers, including companies such as Alsym Energy, Peak Energy and others.
ABLC is one of the first dedicated industry bodies advocating for sodium-ion batteries in the United States.
